UMAMI GREEN BEANS

At 4Q Method, we believe eating shouldn’t be boring, but green beans can be boring, so we’ve given them a makeover with this recipe — amping up the flavor without amping up the calories. (We don’t really use that word, but it’s true!)

And we have to say, we did a pretty good job. These green beans are bursting with umami from the soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger and garlic. Even if you’re not a fan of green beans, you will be after you try this — trust us!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 8 oz green beans

  • 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp minced ginger

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

  • 1/8 tsp salt

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Toss all ingredients together on a lined baking sheet.

  3. Cook in the oven for 30-40 minutes, until green beans are tender and slightly crispy.
